Skydive Auckland welcomes sport skydivers and fun jumpers of all experience levels, so whether you are still working towards your first licence or you have thousands of skydives, we invite you to come along and share our blue skies.
We have a 17-seat turbine PAC 750 XL aircraft, taking you to 13,000ft or 16,000ft in 20 minutes. Our facility has a huge packing area, debrief areas, viewing deck and BBQ, making this the perfect place to enjoy fun jumping in New Zealand.
Skydive Auckland is home to the New Zealand Skydiving School, the only Government approved Private Training Establishment (PTE).
We are open every day (weather depending) except NZ public holidays.
Want to stay for a few days? Accommodation options are available in Parakai town, 5 minutes from the DZ and camping is available on-site.

Experienced skydivers

To sport skydive at Skydive Auckland, you must be affiliated with the New Zealand Parachute Industry Association, which is our governing body. We have equipment for you to hire if needed (see below) but if you are bringing your own equipment, please note that AADs are mandatory and we also operate a 6-month reserve repack cycle.

Visiting New Zealand?

If you hold a licence from another parachute organisation, you can apply for an online temporary (3 months) or full NZPIA Certificate. More information can be found on the NZPIA website. Applying for an NZPIA Certificate must be done at the DZ and you are required to bring valid photo I.D, credit/debit card for payment, your logbook and skydiving licence. 

We welcome all sport skydivers here at Skydive Auckland, whether you are are into wingsuit, freefly, tracking, belly or want to swoop the pond, this is the DZ for you! We’re open 7 days per week, check out our SDA Sporties Facebook Page to see what’s happening, events and daily start times.

Sport Skydivers (Licensed) Registration

Please complete our sport skydiver registration then email us to book in for your DZ brief, gear check and advise us if you need to convert to an NZPIA Certificate. 

Student Skydivers

If you have already started to learn to skydive somewhere else, or haven’t yet gained your A Certificate, you can continue your skydiving progression with us. Check out Learn to Skydive which has all the information you need to know.

Gear Hire

If you need to rent skydiving equipment, we have it all available to hire. We have over 30 parachute systems from 260 – 150 sqft, audible altimeters, wrist altimeters, helmets and jumpsuits. Equipment hire is $35 per jump and includes packing.

To be eligible for an NZPIA Certificate with A endorsement you must:

  • Have a minimum of 25 jumps.
  • Be cleared to pack sport equipment (signed in logbook).
  • Have a minimum of 5 coached jumps and be able to demonstrate a range of formation skydiving skills (proximity, levels, turns, tracking).
  • Have completed a canopy course or be able to demonstrate a range of canopy skills.

To be eligible for an NZPIA Certificate with B endorsement you must:

  • Meet all the criteria for A endorsement.
  • Have a minimum of 50 jumps.
  • Have completed a minimum of 10 formation skydives, of which at least 5 must be with 3 participants or more.
  • Have completed a canopy course or be able to demonstrate a range of canopy skills.

Sport Skydiving Currency Requirements

If you are visiting Skydive Auckland for the first time, you may be required to complete refresh training and / or a check-out jump depending on your currency and experience level. This is to ensure you meet our training standards and have knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of New Zealand skydiving.
The requirement to complete refresh training and / or a check-out jump will be assessed by an NZPIA Jumpmaster or Instructor, however some basic guidelines are below:

A Endorsement:

If you are eligible for the NZPIA Certificate with A endorsement but you have not completed a skydive within the previous 60 days, you will be required to complete both refresh training and a check-out jump.

B Endorsement:

If you are eligible for the NZPIA Certificate with B endorsement but you have not completed a skydive within the last 90 days, you will be required to complete refresh training. You may be required to complete a check-out jump depending on your jump numbers and your experience level.

C & D Endorsement:

Refresh training and / or a check-out jump may be required in situations where you have not completed a skydive in over 6 months.
Please note that all currency requirements will be assessed by an NZPIA Jumpmaster or NZPIA Instructor in line with NZPIA regulations.
