9000 feet $295 - 20 secs of Freefall- A quick Hit ! 13000 feet $325- 45 seconds of Freefall – A Tasty Teaser ! 16500 feet $395- 70 Insane Seconds of Freefall – The Ultimate Rush ! Which ever height you decide to jump from you can be sure that you are going to have the time of your life! The vast majority of people who skydive with us have never done this before so don’t worry we are use to dealing with nerves. The great thing about skydiving is that you have no depth perception which means its no scarier to go higher, just more fun! With 16,500 feet giving you views of both sides of the North Island it is definitely the preferred option. Don’t worry about screaming – the fact that you are falling at 200 km/ph means that your instructor won’t be able to hear a word you are saying!!!!! You would expect to feel like you are falling but you don’t!!!! You have no depth perception over 5,000 feet ( look over the edge of a bridge and feel your stomach flip – out of the window of a Jumbo jet at 37,000 ft – its just stunning so that’s why going higher is no scarier , just more fun ! All the time you are in freefall you just feeling like you are floating on a big cushion of air not that horrible up and down feeling that you get on Rollercoasters and the like ! Most people have seen the wind tunnels that we all play in – well that’s how it feels except you have the whole North Island of NZ at your feet !Regardless of what height you jump from your parachute is pulled at 5,000 feet giving you approx 5 minutes to gently float back down to earth. If the conditions are right your instructor will let you take the reins – helping steer your parachute back to the drop zone. Unlike your time in freefall you can now have a conversation with your Instructor – so be careful what you say!!!!!! If all this sounds a bit confusing and over whelming don’t worry! We will discuss the difference in the heights with you when you arrive at the DZ so you don’t have to make a decision just yet. We will also show you examples of the DVD options (link to DVD page) available to you as our highly skilled cameramen are able take a personalised DVD and photos of you in freefall! |
